MIKE FLY


Mike Fly began performing Improvised Theatre over in 1993.  In those early days, the Canadian Improv Games provided him with the foundation of skills that would later inspire him to help create General Fools. 


He has since acted as the Saskatchewan Regional Director and National Administrative Director of the Canadian Improv Games, and is co-creator of the international success Improv Camp.  He has worked with many successful companies including The Second City and Vancouver TheatreSports League.


Mike has attended many festivals throughout Canada and the USA over of his years performing and has had the opportunity to work with notable instructors: Randy Dixon (Seattle – Unexpected Productions), Alistair Cook (Vancouver - !nstant Theatre), Steve Sim (Winnipeg – CRUMBS) and Bob Dassie (Los Angeles – I.O. WEST), Joe Bill (i.O.) and Mark Sutton (Annoyance Theatre). 


Mike’s video podcast IMPROV MONOLOGUE PROJECT is also a a huge success, featuring Improvised monologues by international improvisers.  It is the #1 Video Podcast about improvisation on iTunes and was featured in 5 festivals in 2009.
